THE CONTRACTORS The Contractors are a popular Texas band performing a unique blend of original country, Americana, blues, and Latin/Texan fusion. Their members include singer-songwriters and talented session musicians. They have opened for Grammy award winning singers and Grammy Award nominated bands in the past few months as well as many other area music venues. They perform their unique sounds across the state sharing their true love and passion for the music with their audience. Everything from their original songs that are playing on XM and NPR stations to Brooks and Dunn, Merle and Garth to the Drifters, CCR, and Eagles pop up on their set lists. Band members include Lynn Wilson on vocals/guitar, Eddy Chastain on vocals/guitar, Woodie Thornton on drums, and Larry Gamble is our sound guy. Many of early songs featured our beloved bass player, the late Timothy Simpson. In the past few months we have begun recording our own original songs that range from country to Americana and blues as well as Texas Fusion which blends Latin beats to country and ballads. We have two new albums out now, “Broken Promises” featuring 12 new country songs performed by both of our singers Lynn Wilson and Eddy Chastain. All of the songs were written/composed by Lynn Wilson. Our other album is “We’ve Contracted the Blues” which features songs written by renowned Nashville lyricist Billy E. Henderson and composed/sung by Lynn Wilson.
