The Mad Rapper emerged in 1987 on WVIC Radio with his first breakthrough in America as a local morning radio guest. Then came global attention in 1992 with his remake of the 60s hit “96 Tears” that featured the song’s creator Question Mark on backup vocals. Worldwide airplay & international press followed including features in Billboard Magazine, Rap Masters, 2 Hype, Word Up, etc. An associated press story ignited an industry buzz. Concert appearances with acts such as Information Society, Technotronic, Run DMC, Naughty By Nature, Wreckx-N-Effect, etc helped land a record deal with Miami’s Pandisc Records. An updated "Uptown Remix" along with a "Lo-fi Transistor Mix" is featured on YouTube & ReverbNation. Later in 1997 signing with DM/Ichiban Records releasing the single “The Girl Is Hot”, the song made it’s way to several compilation Lps including “Dirty South Bass” on Virgin Records which placed the song alongside tracks from Lil’ Jon, 2 Live Crew, Tag Team, JJ Fad & others. The song was also featured on the Fox Television sitcom “The Loop” starring Mimi Rogers. Over the years The Mad Rapper has collaborated with the likes of legendary rocker/producer Rick Derringer, and continues to write & produce new music. In 2019 the 14 track LP titled The Mad Rapper - Volume 1 was released globally. In 2023 The Mad Rapper released a 5 song project titled "Ep Mix Tape" which like "Volume I" is available @ all major online retailers!
