Hailing from Montreal Canada, The Prestige started in spring of 2008 with guitarists and high school friends Sebastien Rivard and Sebastien P. Marois with members of their previous band. With drummer Gabriel Lescarbeau chemistry was at it's peak. They spent 2008 and the first half of 2009 writing dozens and dozens of songs always searching for that special sound. But in june 2009, Ketoff and Simon Romano replaced their previous singer making a sole blend of screaming and singing. After releasing their first EP "The Great Floods" recorded with Ion Dissonance's Antoine Lussier ( Ion Dissonance, Emmure ) in June 2010 the band got the attention they deserved. They won the 2010 edition of the Ernie Ball battle of the bands for the Montreal edition of the Vans Warped Tour, won the biggest battle of the bands in Montreal in February 2011 and even had several spots on tv at Musique Plus. The band had a 3 minute presentation of their video for the song Atlantic City and went in May 2011 to play live in the studios ( http://www.musiqueplus.com/recherche/the%20prestige ). Even after losing a main piece of their trademark sound, their singer Simon, the band quickly found a replacement who turned out even better than the previous one. Martin Lemieux was the perfect replacement for Simon. The Prestige is hitting the studios this fall with Antoine Lussier once more and are aiming to surpass their previous effort.
