The Virginia Wolves
Folk • Montauk, NY
Long Island Native- Kelly Ann McNally has been howling from the mountains of the Hudson River Valley, NY for over the last decade at various concerts, caves, venues, galleries & Grass Roots festivals. Her debut album, "Curse of the Kill" was independently released on her own label -My Own Label Records and dedicated to her father, a Vietnam Veteran & our US troops. Starting her musical career volunteering (behind the scenes) as a DJ & Co-Host for Vassar College's independent radio station, WVKR (91.3FM) set the tone for her passion for live sound. The exclusive showcase of original music of the Hudson Valley and live, in-studio performances deeply inspired her to dive into songwriting, sound engineering, performing & producing. 🎶 Now booking on the East End of Long Island, Montauk-musician-songwriter- solo artist, Kelly Ann McNally takes pride in continuing to support Mom & Pop shoppes, local businesses, art exhibits, private events and television & radio broadcasts. 📻 🎶 thevirginiawolves@yahoo.com Previous performances include: 📻 92.1 WLNG-FM (4/25/21) 📻 88.3FM-WLIW (Long Island's only NPR radio station) 'Heart ❤️ Of the East End' w/ Gianna Volpe (9/17/20 & 2/11/21 & 5/20/21) Stephen Talkhouse (Amagansett, NY) Innersleeve Records (Amagansett, NY) Montauk Music Festival (MTK, NY) George's Lighthouse Cafe (Montauk, NY) Montauk Concerts On the Green (MTK, NY) The Falcon (Marlboro) Hudson River Sloop Clearwater (Beacon, NY) Organic Rock Concert (Widow Jane Mine) (Rosendale, NY) (My Own Label Records production) Woodstock World Peace Concert @ VARGA Gallery (Woodstock, NY) Pianos (NYC) Beltane Music Festival (Stone Mountain Farm, New Paltz, NY) O+Positive Festival (Kingston, NY) Market2 Cafe (Rosendale, NY) Elmendorph Inn (Red Hook, NY) Club Helsinki (Hudson, NY) Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, NY) Hudson River Fine Arts Gallery (Kingston, NY) Rosendale Street Festival (Rosendale, NY) High Falls Cafe (High Falls, NY) Willow Kiln Park Folk Festival (Rosendale, NY) Unison Art Center (New Paltz, NY) Children's Media Workshop (Poughkeepsie, NY) Inquiring Minds Bookstore (Saugerties, NY) Locust Grove (Samuel F. She performed a versatile and professional one hour set comprised of acoustic guitar and piano songs from multiple decades and genres. Highlights were her renditions of Townes Van Zandt, Amy Winehouse and Radiohead songs. She had a great rapport with the audience, was fun to host and is welcome to perform here anytime in the future." Craig Wright Owner - Innersleeve Records (Amagansett, NY) "Sheryl Crow meets Neil Young, meets Jefferson Starship." -John Barry (Poughkeepsie Journal) "The Virginia Wolves proudly touts the band as "Organic Rock" which rightly nails its ultra-earthy, acoustic folk-psych sound." -Peter Aaron (Chronogram) "Flower child Kelly McNally & The Virginia Wolves are fresh faced out of Bohemia saluting our troops and bringing a message of hope and truth through her authentic ’60s attitude and rootsy musical passion."-Sharon Nichols (Chronogram) "The Virginia Wolves are very genuine and a joy to work with at Beltane's Spring Festival."-Taconic Sound "The Virginia Wolves are unique in the Hudson Valley. It's not just the odd combination of instruments -- French horn and the occasional banjo to go with a stellar back line -- or the way their voices blend in tight intervals. It's the songs themselves that haunt you long after the music stops. Kelly McNally's words are a perfect match for her rich alto -- dark, thought-provoking and mesmerizing, yet strangely optimistic, as though she were giving you bad news in a very comforting way. "Curse of the Kill" is a great album!" -Steve Lasardo (John Street Jam) "A sensuous tapestry of voices and voicings, The Virginia Wolves will reach deep down inside of you to let you know you are there. Kelly McNally, Adele Schulz, and their ensemble of choice musicians will make their mark on you. Rich in content and deserving of your respect and attention." -DJ RadmanX (Vassar College radio 91.3FM WVKR) "The Virginia Wolves put the O in Organic! These self-billed babes play Organic Rock and they mean it. Sultry, earthy celebrations, their songs mingle ashes with molasses and spread it on pumper nickle toast. They could ROCK a mountain!" Triple x hardcore exxcellent LIVE performance on my show, "Apocalypse VARGA! & gallery!"Christina Varga "Traditional American music gets a real shot in the arm with this album, "Curse of the Kill" a sampling of good stuff to come. I can't wait to hear more! The sound is fresh, and the music is timeless. The Virginia Wolves Rock!!! More, please!"-DJ Sharon Panaro (WVKR)
