After nine years on the road, Torvo band has just recorded its first CD entitled "World of Glory and Hate”. Currently made up of Tiaraju (vocals), Marcelo (guitar), Igor (drums) and Roger (bass), Torvo could record a high quality CD. Produced by Paulo Schroeber and mixed and mastered by Juliano Boz, the band has found an apropriate sound to its style. Since the beginning bands like Pantera, Sepultura and Slayer influenced on the style of each one of Torvo's members. No wonder that "World of Hate and Glory" has a strong influence of these three bands. There is a sense, a proximity to the Trash Metal of 90's, during that when "Chaos AD", "Divine Intervention" and "Vulgar Display of Power" rocked the world of heavy music. With heavy and simple riffs songs find harmony and sophistication in melodies, sometimes fast sometimes dragged. They are, in fact, well-crafted compositions, however without the complexity of current bands which are more concerned to demonstrate technique than emotion and strength. As there’s a lack of musical market in Brazil, there are just a few bands which are able to be in a prominent place. Therefore recording a CD with a high quality sound, a high quality graphic art and twelve original songs it’s a privilege. A well-recorded disc it’s a showcase to the band. So, “World of Glory and Hate” presents Torvo to the public characterizing it as competent mature band in Trash Metal style.
