ENGLISH Tothem is considered by the international critics as one of the most talented and promising bands of the Italian and international melodic metal scene. After releasing an Ep (Tothem), in 2003 the band broke up and only in 2010 Black Cyril, the guitar player, and Roslen, lead singer, decided to reform the Tothem with the entry of three new members: Leo, on bass guitar, Andrea The Joker, on drums, and Marco, on keyboards. During the years they have played at the best clubs in Rome, such as the Qube, the Alpheus, Ex-Magazzini, Coetus, Black Out, Jailbreak and so on. Then they took part in the Emergenza Rock competitions, reaching the final, and in the Live Magic Contest, been set at Alpheus, reaching the semi finals. They were lately placed second at the “We a.r.e. the festival” contest among more than 100 bands, while Roslen was awarded as the best female singer. Up to now they have recorded two demos (Automatisma and Pray) and two Eps (Tothem in 2003 and Osaka Bed & Breakfast released in 2010 in limited edition). This latest Ep got a great critical success and audience approval (300 copies got sold out, enhanced by the chance of the free download of the songs), especially among foreign listeners and the band’s popularity is constantly growing. Rescue, second track from the Osaka B&B album, became part of the “World of Glass” and “You can’t shake me – A little help for Japan” compilations. Cross the line entered the “Metal around the world” compilation while Light of Soul entered "Aiutiamo l'Emilia" compilation. On 12th December 2012 they finally released their first full-length "Beyond the Sea". The album has legitimated the Roman band, no more as a promise but a reality of the world music scene. If the critics are unanimous in the opinion, the public has responded effectively by buying the album. Then, at the end of December, Tothem performed a part of their last work live on Radio Popolare Roma. At the moment the band is promoting the album throughout Europe with live shows too. They're currently planning the promotional tour, whose first dates have been Bucharest (RO) and Gravesend (UK). After considering many offers and proposals, Tothem announce they have decided to sign up for the American label Metaledge Records. A new chapter is about to be written. Después del lanzamiento del primer EP “Tothem” en 2003, el grupo se disolvió y sólamente en 2010 Black Cyril, guitarra, y Roslen, cantante, decidieron reformar a la banda con la introducción de tres nuevos elementos (Leo, bajo, Marco, keyboards, y Andrea the Joker, a la batería). Durante los años han tocado en los mejores rock clubs de Roma (Qube, Alpheus, Ex- Magazzini, Jailbreak, Black Out, etc...) y han tomado parte en los concursos de "Emergenza Rock", llegando a la final, de “Live Magic Contest”, llevado a cabo en “Alpheus” y llegando a las semifinales, y al “We a.r.e. the festival” en el que terminaron segundos entre más de 100 bandas participantes. En esta última competición, Roslen ganó el premio como mejor voz femenina. Hasta ahora, han grabado dos demos (“Automatisma” y “Pray”) y dos Eps - "Tothem" en 2003 y "Osaka Bed & Breakfast" en 2010 en edición limitada. Este último EP ha recibido muchos elogios por parte de la crítica y del público (300 copias vendidas y miles de descargas, con la posibilidad de descargar gratuitamente las canciones del internet) especialmente en el extranjero donde la popularidad de la banda sigue creciendo. La canción Rescue (del Ep "Osaka bed & breakfast") ha formado parte de las compilaciones “World of Glass” y “You can’t shake me – a little help for Japan”. Luego, a finales de diciembre, los Tothem ejecutaron una parte de su último trabajo en directo por Radio Popolare Roma. Actualmente la banda está promocionando el álbum en toda Europa, también con espectáculos en vivo y están organizando el tour promocional, cuya primeras fechas han sido Bucarest (RO) y Gravesend (Reino Unido).
