Tripp Mathis was born and raised in Fort Worth,Tx. Both his parents have been in the music industry in one form or another since the mid 1960's. Tripp began perfoming music at the age of 8. Starting on hand percussion,he quickly picked up the bass guitar,guitar and Harmonica(inspired by his father) After High School, Mathis began Jammin' with the well known local band Spoonfed Tribe. After moving around the country he came back home to Texas and started playing with another well known group of locals known as Catfish Whiskey. After a 6 year run with the Whiskey boys Mathis has begun an acoustic solo carrer. Playing all over DFW and Austin He now has a beautiful wife(also an accomplished vocalist) ,a geogeous Daughter and two handsome sons he loves writting and playing for. He has relocated to Abilene, TX and he plans to continue chasing his dreams and have a good time in the process......
