Valley Green
Reggae • Kent, WA
Not everyone can say they still roll with someone they met in the first grade; Tim Lubic Jr., (guitar/vocal) and Royce Fenske (drums/vocal) have been wondering Washington together since they were seven. Characters collided when they met Nathan Spencer (bass/vocal) and Riley Austin (keys/vocal) soon after and formed an alliance that would one day become Valley Green.
By 2011, the four began bringing rocking reggae raps and recognizing their respect for the roots. Nathan, Riley, Royce, and Tim started off 2014 with the release of their album Northwest Rootz. Their busy summer that year included an appearance at the first ever Homegrown NW Reggae Festival whole battling the blazing “96 Degrees” with vocal assistance from Josh Heinrichs. Stick Figure keyboardist K-Bong showed his support for the scene while on vacation nearby and Valley Green supported him on songs from his latest release Hopes and Dreams.
