Jane started her musical career on the East Coast in the New York metropolitan area. Jane has been involved with music for over 35 years playing with the Racquettes and Songs III. Since relocating to California, Jane has played her washboard with Dusti and Her Groovin’ Grannies and is currently playing washboard and bass guitar with J L Rhythmics. Her talents extend beyond the washboard playing drums, bongos and other hand percussion instruments as well as providing background and lead vocals. Jane’s amazing washboard is a conglomeration of tamborine, bell, wood block, cow bell, and bicycle horn. Jane plays complicated melodies with abandon.
Over the years, she has performed at every type of venue imaginable from county fairs, restaurants, sports bars, breast cancer fundraisers, corporate events to retirement communities.
