Formed: 2010, Chicago, IL Years Active as a Musician: 00's, 10’s Genre: Acoustic Singer/songwriter Wayde Roberts began his musical career through the influences of artists such as Jason Mraz, Dashboard Confessional, and Secondhand Serenade. Through these influences, he created a band called Chasing Cassidy to concentrate on his own personal music. Carrying an acoustic guitar and a captured moments song style, he formed the band name from his lifestyle of always trying to find the right person and a name with no personal meaning. Chasing Cassidy took home to Chicago, IL, which toured throughout a small part of the Midwest including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Missouri. Catching their first big break with an opening for Gym Class Heroes, Chasing Cassidy began their career for the better. By late 2010, Wayde Roberts had devoted all time to his new album. Now attending Western Illinois University most time is spent between books and music while music and the soul-aching lyrics of their songs still remains the passion.
