Born in Las Vegas in the mid 60's, I enjoyed some early appreciation of both music (from dad's piano talent,) and recording (via a mini reel-to-reel recorder,) before and throughout my piano education.
Took first lessons at 6, and continued intermittent periods of study through early High School. From there music was a passion and also a means of procrastinating homework. My first song, "First Song," was written in 1980 while tinkering on the Baldwin Grand Piano that's still at mom and dad's house. It was also the basis for the recent "Let's Slow This Down," also featured on my debut "Socially Distant" album.
Later I enjoyed private lessons from John Ford (who trained the famous Linda Perry of "Four Non Blonds," at his studio in San Francisco, although some of my recordings (earliest of which were performed in my East Palo Alto apartment in the late 80's,) were committed to Beta HiFi masters before any formal voice training.
What was long treated as a "hobby" has finally been packaged into a release that represents a culmination of over 40 years of writing and recording. I hope for this to serve as a launch to a more serious focus on writing and creation of new music in the years to come. I hope you'll follow me on this journey.
