Rasta Glover, with influences from classic Reggae, creates music that is a spiritual journey through the rhythms of Roots, Rock, Reggae, Afro, or World Music. For more than two decades, he has been active between the Canary Islands and Europe and is one of the pioneers of Reggae in the Canary Islands, composing the lyrics and music for all his songs. Rasta Glover sings about humanity, peace, and love for life.
He has performed on some of the most important stages in Europe, such as Womad Canarias and U-Zona Reggae. In addition to Spain, he has performed in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, and Morocco.The main objective of this project is to capture, disseminate, and showcase our concerns, feelings, and way of understanding the world through music. For this, in addition to the group members, we have an excellent technical and artistic team recognized both in the Canary Islands and internationally.
Rasta Glover's song themes are primarily focused on awakening social consciousness for a better understanding of the life we live from an existential knowledge perspective. This is considered essential for analyzing and transforming people in the social environment, indispensable for the evolution of humanity. The lyrics are profound, containing a great dose of poetry without losing a critical sense.
Musically, Rasta Glover's music is well-received and can be defined as "World Music" made in the Canary Islands. It is a fusion of Reggae with rhythms and instruments from other cultures, hints of jazz, blues, Latin, funk, rock, etc. After years of work, a compact and fresh result has been achieved, especially through the treatment in musical composition and text creation.
